General Ledger Accountant

For our client, a large and well-known construction company, SJR is now hiring a driven General Ledger Accountant who can come in and strengthen the team for a period of at least 6 months. The assignment starts in April and the client is located in nice premises in Solna. For the right person, an extension may be possible. The company applies a hybrid setup where you are expected to work on-site at the client's office 3 days a week, with the remaining days available for remote work. For this assignment, we are looking for someone who wants to be employed as a consultant or someone who wants to work as a subcontractor with us.

About the position

Are you an experienced General Ledger Accountant who wants to work in a Nordic group with a strong focus on quality, structure, and collaboration? Do you thrive in an operational role where you can work broadly with bookkeeping, VAT, reconciliations, and reporting? Then this could be the right next step for you! The role encompasses everything from ongoing accounting to year-end closing work and support during annual reports.

Main responsibilities

• Ongoing accounting and reconciliations
• Management of fixed assets
• Preparation and submission of VAT declarations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland
• Maintenance of master data
• Intercompany reconciliations and intra-group transactions
• Second-line support to internal functions and external parties
• Participation in annual reports and reporting packages

Suitable background

We are looking for someone with a relevant education in finance, preferably a bachelor's degree, and at least three years of experience in accounting within a larger organization or group. You have a good understanding of accounting principles and applicable tax and VAT regulations. It is an advantage if you have worked in a Shared Service Center or have experience from a Nordic operation. You are accustomed to working in a larger ERP system and are fluent in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. If you also have knowledge of additional Nordic languages, it is an extra advantage.
