Järfälla Municipality is looking for two municipal lawyers for our central municipal executive office. You will be part of the chief of staff's team together with the data protection officer and business developer, and will organizationally belong to the Department of Administration and Guardianship.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a municipal lawyer, you will provide internal legal support to the municipality's administrations and elected officials, particularly members of the municipal executive and leading officials. Since you provide support to all administrations, the work is very varied, and you may work across all of the municipality's operational areas. Your main areas of law will be municipal and administrative law as well as public access and confidentiality legislation. You may also provide support on issues related to GDPR, social services, schools, procurement, contracts, and total defense. Internal training may also be relevant.

In addition to legal investigations and general legal support, the assignment includes revising governing documents, writing statements to supervisory authorities and courts, and handling legal matters to be decided by the municipal executive or municipal council. You may also review guidelines and procedures developed by other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a law degree and several years of experience in legally qualified work. You are responsible, self-driven, and have a good ability to analyze and find arguments. Since the role is largely event-driven, you are flexible and can quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of law.

• To fit the role, you have:
• Experience in legal work within municipalities, regions, or the state
• Experience in municipal and administrative law as well as public access and confidentiality
• Good pedagogical skills and can adapt your communication to the recipient.

• Has the ability to perceive and find solutions in complex issues where many different factors need to be highlighted
• Adapts and finds solutions through an unpretentious focus on the common goal.

It is an extra merit if you:

• Have experience working in a politically governed organization
• Have experience in several of the legal areas relevant to a municipality
• Have experience working in court.
