The County Administrative Board of Stockholm is looking for two legal advisors
Do you want to contribute to sustainable development in Stockholm County?
We are looking for two law students who are in the final phase of their education and have relevant experience in case management within public operations.
You will belong to the Department of Legal Affairs with current placement in the unit for legal operational support and review.
The County Administrative Board reviews appealed municipal decisions, mainly according to the Planning and Building Act, the Environmental Code, the Food Act, and the Act on Protection Against Accidents. These cases are handled by the unit for legal operational support and review. In addition, the unit is responsible for the state control of granted municipal exemptions from shoreline protection. The unit's lawyers also provide internal legal support to the authority's own operations, primarily in the areas of nature conservation, hunting and species protection, environmental protection, water, planning and building law, and animal protection.
What does the role entail?
In this role as a legal advisor with us, you will strengthen the unit's preparation group where tasks vary from case administration to qualified legal processing and decision-making. Examples of tasks include reviewing newly received cases, issuing decisions, time assessments, and transferring cases to court, as well as handling requests for public documents. Based on the operational needs and the inflow of cases, you will also be able to draft decisions as a presenter in simpler cases within one or more of the case types that the unit handles.
As an employee at the County Administrative Board, you may need to be directed to other tasks within the unit, department, or authority. It is therefore a prerequisite that you as a person are socially interested and want to work with the breadth that the County Administrative Board has to offer.
Are you the one we are looking for?
For this role, you should have:
- ongoing studies in law (which, when completed, gives 270 higher education credits) and have completed at least eight semesters of your education or a law degree (270 higher education credits) completed by 2025
- relevant experience in case management within public operations
- excellent ability to express yourself simply and pedagogically in speech and writing
- the ability to assess information to make correct, balanced, and legally secure judgments and priorities
- very good collaboration skills, high integrity, and personal maturity
- willingness and ability to contribute to a good work environment
For this role, you should be:
- used to prioritizing among several tasks independently while also having the ability to work in a group
- solution-oriented and flexible
- attentive, unpretentious, and helpful
As an employee at the County Administrative Board, you need to:
- be able to make decisions considering multiple perspectives (holistic view)
- understand that a central role for the County Administrative Board is to make trade-offs between different interests
- have the ability to prioritize and adapt to work with new tasks or in new contexts.
It is advantageous if you have:
- current experience in case management at the County Administrative Board
- knowledge of the case management system Platina
- current experience in drafting administrative decisions

Employment
Type of employment: Special fixed-term employment for 6 months, July-December 2025.

We work in centrally located offices in Stockholm. Possibility for remote work agreements exists based on operational needs.
Currently, about 110 employees work in the Department of Legal Affairs. The department consists of five units, of which the unit for legal operational support and review is one. The unit currently has about 35 employees.
