ABOUT THE POSITION

Our client is one of Sweden's largest banks, and on their behalf, we are now looking for a consultant for the role of Valuation Control Analyst for an initial six-month consulting assignment, with the goal of eventually becoming a permanent employee of the bank, provided that all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.

For this assignment, you will belong to the bank's Valuation Control team, which currently consists of six people. This team is responsible for the bank's internal market data flow, valuation adjustments, results reporting, and work with IPV and Prudent Valuation. In the role of Valuation Control Analyst, you will work closely with several other teams in the bank to continuously deliver data and reports to them. Furthermore, you will work to ensure that the valuation processes meet both internal and external regulatory requirements and standards.

We are looking for someone who can start immediately and who sees the assignment as a long-term opportunity, as our client is looking for employees with the potential to become key players for them in the long run. The goal of the consulting assignment is for it to transition into a direct recruitment and permanent employment with the bank after six months. Additionally, you will be employed by us at Academic Work and have an engaged consultant manager who will support and coach you throughout the assignment.

YOU WILL BE OFFERED

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Tasks

Work with P&L reporting and produce other types of results reports
Work with valuation adjustments and ensure that both internal and external regulatory requirements are met
Work on improving, developing, and maintaining the bank's valuation infrastructure, market flow data, and automated processes
Maintain close cooperation with several of the bank's other functions

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

Has a master's degree in a related field (e.g., economics, financial mathematics, engineering degree with a finance focus)
Has at least one year of experience in the finance/banking industry, preferably from a similar role in Valuation Control or another control function
Has knowledge of the valuation of financial instruments and basic risk management
Has basic programming skills in VBA and SQL
Has excellent knowledge of both Swedish and English, spoken and written

It is meritorious if you have:

Basic knowledge of Python
Basic knowledge of IFRS13 regulations
Experience with Bloomberg
