The changing global situation requires our defense to be strengthened, and the increased intelligence activities against Sweden and the Armed Forces are extensive. The Military Intelligence and Security Service (Must) conducts operations within defense intelligence, military intelligence, and military security services.
The Intelligence and Security Central Section (USC) belongs to the Department of Communication and Liaison (KS). USC has an important mission to manage information through various communication systems and perform communication, record-keeping, and expedition services for intelligence and security documents.
Main Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who is a manager or has experience in a supervisory or process development role. You are a person who enjoys challenges and finding solutions. You have a strong drive to develop work processes and the ability to think ahead while managing daily tasks. The role of a manager requires you to enjoy working with people and to be present as a leader, as well as having an interest in leading work in a group-based work environment and developing your own abilities in the field. An interest in information management and communication systems is required for the role.
As a section manager, you will lead and coordinate the operations at USC, which includes operational planning, personnel, and budget responsibilities. The work also includes delegated responsibility for the systematic work environment efforts for the section and recruitment. You will be responsible for monitoring and quality assurance of the section's work and for developing the processes and routines for information management. You are expected to contribute to the section's development and be responsible for the systems used by USC, as well as participate in the development of any new systems.
Qualifications
- Several years of managerial experience, or several years of experience in a supervisory position such as project management, process development, team leadership, or equivalent
- Academic degree in information management, archival science, public administration, political science, or related fields
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English
Desirable
- Education in leadership
- Experience in information management, information security, or communication or control centers within a government agency
- Knowledge of the Armed Forces and/or Must's operations and working methods
- Experience working with complex information flows, information management systems, or case management systems
- Knowledge of EU and NATO regulations regarding information management
- Experience in developing information management systems
Personal Qualities
To fit in the position, you should have good communication skills, be attentive, and easily create good relationships and collaborate with others. You are used to working in a structured manner and being self-driven, as well as independently driving processes forward. You want to achieve results and enjoy taking responsibility and making decisions. The position also requires your problem-solving and prioritization skills as you will handle multiple parallel cases simultaneously. Furthermore, you need to be unpretentious with good personal maturity and have sound judgment characterized by thoroughness, high integrity, and a strong awareness of security.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
The qualifications mentioned above must be verifiable through certificates, references, and work or selection tests.

Permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date: By agreement. Work location: Stockholm.
