Do you have extensive experience in the field of information security and a background in leadership? Do you want to contribute to the preservation of democracy and protect Sweden's freedoms and rights? Then apply to the Security Police as a Deputy Unit Manager.
This is your mission
As a Deputy Unit Manager, you will lead and organize the strategic security work within the operational area together with the Unit Manager. You will work on developing the organization forward. You will be part of the management team and represent the Unit Manager in their absence.
In this role, you will have a strategic role in supporting the Chief of Information Security in driving, developing, directing, and following up on the operations. The work is carried out in close collaboration within both your own and other operational areas.
Participating in the development, follow-up, and management of information security work, along with project management and general organizational development, will be a natural part of your daily work. You will report regularly to the Chief of Information Security.
You will collaborate at both national and international levels and participate in expert and working groups.
Your placement will be at the headquarters in Solna, and the work will be performed on-site, which means you will not have the opportunity to work remotely. Travel, both domestic and international, is included in the position.
The qualifications we are looking for

Requirements:
- Academic degree, police degree, or equivalent deemed relevant for the position
- Several years of managerial experience with operational leadership and responsibility for the work environment
- Experience in indirect leadership
- Knowledge of and experience in information technology and information security regarding legislation, standards, vulnerabilities, and protective measures.
- Experience with management systems concerning governance and management, follow-up, and implementation
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Excellent ability to plan, formulate, communicate, and follow up on assignments
- Excellent ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
Employment requires Swedish citizenship.
If you are applying, you may also have competencies that add breadth and complementary perspectives. If you can contribute with any or several of the following, it is meritorious:
- Good technical understanding regarding IT and IT architecture
- Experience in security protection and security-sensitive operations
- Experience in total defense planning, continuity planning, IAM, AI, IT security, and cloud services
- Experience with management systems regarding governance and management, follow-up, and implementation, or certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC

The Security Police places high demands on security and confidentiality; therefore, we expect you to have a strong security awareness.
Employment conditions
Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as employment at the Security Police involves placement in a security class. Employment also requires a satisfactory result in the security clearance with background checks, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
This is a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in wartime.
