Interim Unit Manager for Youth Recreation

We are currently looking for an interim manager with previous experience working as a Unit Manager for a consulting assignment.

• Scope: Full-time 100%
• Start: As soon as possible
• Duration: Approximately 6 months, possibly longer

About the position

As the unit manager for Youth Recreation, you will be responsible for recreational clubs, youth centers, and other open recreational activities aimed at promoting young people's health, positive growth conditions, and future prospects.

Your main responsibilities

You will lead the operations based on established goals and guidelines, ensuring that all visitors feel welcome, safe, and seen.

Your role includes:

• Personnel responsibility for approximately 15 employees.
• Financial, work environment, and operational responsibility.
• Supporting, planning, and following up on operations based on goal and result-oriented thinking.
• Internal and external collaboration with the operations manager, management team, and other stakeholders.
• Actively working with intercultural approaches and diversity issues.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant higher education or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in management or leadership.
• Documented experience in systematic work with performance monitoring, budgeting, and operational planning.
• Experience working with children and youth.
• Good understanding of social issues and youth policy, as well as knowledge of norm criticism and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Meritorious:

• Experience working in politically governed organizations.
• Experience working with civil society issues.
