The Special Selection Department is looking for a Department Head
About the Department
The Special Selection Department primarily conducts selection through in-depth psychological assessments for personnel categories with exceptionally high psychological demands, such as pilots and air combat controllers. The department also serves as the Armed Forces' competence center for military psychological selection, which includes research, education, and development within its area of responsibility. Currently, about 15 psychologists and two coordinators work in the department. Additionally, the department will expand its operations to include psychometrics, expertise in psychological measurement.
Main Responsibilities
In the role of department head, you will lead and develop the work in the department. You are responsible for prioritizing the department's work, managing operations, and its long-term development. The role involves regular collaboration with several stakeholders both internally and externally.
You will be part of the management group of the Employer Unit along with four other department heads and are expected to actively contribute to the development of the entire unit.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Officer
- Several years of relevant work experience as a manager with operational, personnel, and budget responsibility
- Experience leading specialists in the relevant field
- Experience in development work/project management
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing

As the work can sometimes be intense, a good ability to prioritize is required.

Employment type: Permanent. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.
