Fören IndraStockholms län, Sollentuna
Previous experience is desired
Indra Queer Trans & Tjejjour is a politically and religiously independent non-profit organization that works with support and violence prevention. Our support is directed towards girls, queer and/or trans individuals aged 10–25. Since 2008, we have had the honor of meeting thousands of young people in need of someone to listen.
Currently, the workplace consists of an operations manager, a support coordinator, and about 20 volunteers. As our current operations manager is moving on to new challenges, we are now looking for a new person to continue securing our operations!
About the role of operations manager
As the operations manager, you will manage and drive the association - this is to ensure that we can continue to offer quality-assured support, be a strong voice, and an important association for our target group.
You will do this by closely collaborating with the association's board, which has primary responsibility for the operations and delegates part of it to you. This means that you will realize and implement strategic decisions made by the board and lead the daily operations accordingly. Your role is essential in developing and maintaining a democratic, goal-oriented, and safe environment for the board, volunteers, support coordinators, and external parties to operate in.
The tasks are varied, primarily within finance, leadership, and outreach activities. For example, this includes:
- Applying for and reporting financial resources for the association's operations. You will annually set the association's budget in dialogue with our treasurer and follow up on the outcome together with the accounting consultant.
- Participating in and supporting all of the association's activities, with primary responsibility for coordinating the opinion-forming volunteer group.
- Managing reporting of operations and participating in the development of the association's governing documents.
- Collaborating with relevant stakeholders, for example, by participating in the working group that drives the municipality's domestic violence network.
- Organizing and conducting external training initiatives and assignments together with our support coordinator.
- Having personnel responsibility, which includes conducting employee and salary discussions, ensuring competence development, being responsible for the recruitment of staff, and organizing regular workplace meetings.
Indra's operations are conducted by and with volunteers.
About you (the applicant)
You are a leader who includes, supports, and encourages others by being available, providing feedback, and encouragement. You can switch between a detailed and holistic perspective and are motivated by varied tasks with great opportunities to influence them. You, as an applicant:
- Have post-secondary education that has provided you with knowledge of social and behavioral sciences, for example, a social worker.
- Have a structured working method, can independently plan your work, are used to working with goal and results management, and have experience in budgeting and writing project applications.
- Have experience in leading and/or managing projects.
- Have knowledge of the vulnerability of the target group and knowledge of violence.
- Adapt your communication according to different target groups, have the ability to create engagement in others, and work towards common goals with others.
- Have experience of engagement or work in the non-profit sector.
It is meritorious if you have experience in norm-critical work and/or have your own norm-breaking experiences.
Conditions: At Indra Queer Trans & Tjejjour, we have goal-oriented working hours, which means great freedom for you to plan your working hours. Working hours are scheduled for evenings and weekends when needed.
- The position is a permanent position with a 6-month probationary period.
- The position's scope is 75%. The hope is that the working hours can be increased in the future.
- Location is Sollentuna, where the association has its office.
- Start date is April 15 or by agreement.
- Health allowance, occupational pension, and collective agreements are available.
- We sign a separate goal-oriented contract, giving you 30 vacation days.
About the application process: The deadline for applications is March 27. Please send your CV and cover letter to rekrytering@indrajour.se. Mark the email “Operations Manager”.
We will call for interviews continuously, and the position may be filled during the period, so do not wait with your application. If you have questions about the position, you can email rekrytering@indrajour.se or contact operations manager Jessica Vestin by phone at 0733 99 57 37.
