Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency makes 24 million decisions that affect people's lives and society as a whole. We disburse approximately 250 billion SEK each year. It is the tax money of everyone that we manage. It is a great responsibility. Therefore, we think innovatively and use the latest technology to simplify and improve, develop and deliver IT services for the Swedish social insurance system. Welcome to one of Sweden's largest IT departments.
Now there is a fantastic opportunity for you who want to play a key role in the exciting digital transformation of essential public services. We are looking for a driven, engaged, and experienced inspirer, leader, and manager for the new operational area of Data and AI at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's IT department.
Strategic Leadership in AI, Data, and Information
As a manager, you are responsible for establishing the operational area and leading and developing the work with data and AI within the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. You will be a driving force in developing the authority - and public services - towards data-driven innovation and ethical use of AI-driven decision support.
You will be part of the department's management team, and your immediate superior is the IT Director.
In your role, you will support the IT Director's, as well as the department head's, decision-making and take responsibility for ensuring that decisions made are implemented within your area. You create understanding of the context, direction, and the goals set by the department and develop the plans your area needs.
You will play an active role in driving collaboration issues from a broader societal perspective together with other authorities and actors and will play an important role in shaping the authority's long-term strategy for how we manage and use information and data to create effective and innovative solutions. You will represent the Swedish Social Insurance Agency in media contacts.
As the head of the operational area, you are responsible for steering operations and leading employees based on the authority's long-term goals and the department's common direction. The state value base permeates your work. You have operational responsibility, budget responsibility, and personnel responsibility.
In the management team of the operational area, you steer the strategic work together with your area managers, support functions, and drive cross-functional collaborations. Through your leadership, you create the predictability, security, and sustainability necessary for employees to take their responsibility and meet the need for change. You adapt and exercise your leadership in a way that creates conditions for employees to use their judgment and competence.
The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on correct handling. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high security awareness.
This is a job for you who want to drive change and take responsibility.
