About Us

Solna Gymnasium is a municipal upper secondary school with approximately 700 students and 70 employees. The school offers five national programmes as well as introductory programmes. We are also one of Sweden's largest sports gymsnasiums, where half of the students participate in a national sports education in collaboration with, among others, AIK. Through our collaborations with universities, companies, and the sports movement, both students and staff have the opportunity to build valuable contacts.

The Role
As a teacher with us, you will primarily teach subjects within the Electrical and Energy Programme, specializing in Computer and Communication Technology. As a teacher in Solna Municipality, you will have the opportunity to develop together with engaged colleagues who have high expectations for every student's learning and development. Through teaching based on research and proven experience, you will help develop both digital and analog learning environments. You will also contribute to the school's continued digital development with a focus on formative assessment.
As a teacher on the Electrical and Energy Programme, you support, motivate, and stimulate each student to meet the knowledge requirements based on their prerequisites. You work as part of a team in accordance with the Upper Secondary School Curriculum. This means that together with the principal and colleagues, you lead and develop the school's operations to increase goal fulfillment. You contribute to a stimulating and developing study environment that inspires students on their path to graduation. The position can be tailored to your competency profile, as we see several possible subject combinations depending on your qualifications and previous experience.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for you who
- are a certified teacher with eligibility for the Electrical and Energy Programme, preferably in combination with an additional subject.
- have at least five years of teaching experience and are well-versed in the current curriculum.
- have very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
Additionally, we would appreciate if you
- see the value of varied and stimulating teaching.
- conduct teaching supported by research and proven experience.
- are unpretentious, curious, and contribute to collegial learning.
Your leadership is rooted in the belief that all students can and want to develop. Your teaching is based on a pedagogical approach and proven experience that enables you to create good learning environments. As a person, you are attentive to students' needs, clear, respectful, and have a great ability to collaborate with both students and colleagues. You should have the ability to build good relationships with young people, colleagues, and the club community. Furthermore, you will plan, organize, and prioritize effectively and ensure that all processes are completed with high quality.
