Do you want to work in a city where ideas quickly become reality and where you see the results of your work? In Sundbyberg, it is close between people, decisions, and opportunities. Here you get to influence for real, while developing and growing in your role.
You aim high. And keep your feet on the ground. Just like us.
Here at Lilla Alby School, we have big visions for the future and want you to share them. We are a preschool to year 6 school with approximately 500 students. The school is located in Lilla Alby in central Sundbyberg, with easy access to the tram, bus, subway, and commuter train.
The school consists of two school buildings, the red house and the white house. We have functional rooms for, among other things, art, music, home economics, and the school library. Our after-school centers have partially their own premises furnished for the activity. The white house's playground, for year 2, is built to invite play and is well suited for the lower grades. The red house's playground, for years 3–6 and after-school time, has a multi-sport court suitable for various ball games. The direct proximity to Tuvan Park is a great asset for active breaks and after-school activities.
At Lilla Alby School you will work together with dedicated colleagues who want to drive school and after-school development, with the goal of making Lilla Alby School the obvious choice for both students and educators in preschool class, school, and after-school care. Priority areas include the municipal work on Accessible Learning in school and after-school care, as well as the local movement initiative PulsSprintGo, including active breaks.
We are now looking for a Student Support Worker/After-School Staff Member for the intermediate grades.

As a student support worker, your task is to help our students both socially and academically. You will work individually with one or several students in class and in after-school activities. You will work together in a team consisting of a responsible mentor and educators. The tasks vary, providing variety in the work.
We are looking for someone who:

- Has relevant education within NPD.
- Has good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
Meritorious if you have:
- Other pedagogical education.

- Knowledge of low-affective handling (low-arousal approach).
It is fundamental that you enjoy working with children in need of special support. Furthermore, you have the ability to build good relationships with students. You are a secure, trust-building adult and a good role model. You are engaged, flexible, patient, and have a calm, pedagogical, solution-focused approach. You also have good collaboration skills, are receptive, and find it easy to communicate and collaborate with students, colleagues, and guardians to achieve set goals. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
