At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of today's major societal challenges – migration. We are currently around 6,000 employees, and we have a uniquely important job!
We are now looking for a Migration Case Officer for the Reception and Return Centre in Vänersborg. The Reception and Return Centre is a new type of workplace. Here, you will work with issues that are engaging and relevant in a dynamic environment characterized by interaction with people and influenced by global events. It is also an environment marked by continuous learning and participation, where co-location provides better conditions for close collaboration between professions in the asylum process. We are also close to the asylum seeker by working where they reside, allowing us to work more efficiently and provide greater security for the asylum seeker.
What does a Migration Case Officer do?
As a Migration Case Officer, you handle, investigate, decide, and draft proposals for decisions in various types of cases. These decisions have legal implications for individuals, affecting their entitlement to benefits, rights, and obligations. Additionally, you handle administration, managing files and documents that have been received or created in a case. In your role, you meet and speak with individuals who have a case with the Swedish Migration Agency and other stakeholders. Conversations may involve notifying decisions, informing about the Agency's processes, providing guidance, and offering service. You identify and handle any special needs of individuals and, where appropriate, hold conversations with adults and children in vulnerable situations.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with strong collaboration skills, who is receptive and constructive in their interactions. You are service-oriented and have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others, striving to deliver solutions. We also seek someone who communicates clearly, ensures messages are received, and that expectations are clear for all involved parties. Furthermore, you are structured and can independently plan and organize work efficiently towards set goals and deadlines. You are flexible and adapt easily to changing circumstances, adjusting your perspective and approach as needed. You are also skilled at seeing the big picture and considering the broader perspective and the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decisions.
In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness.
