Teacher in Pedagogy, Leadership, and Social Work sought at Solna Folk High School

Solna Folk High School is looking for an engaged and experienced teacher to instruct adult students in pedagogy, pedagogical leadership, and related fields.

We are looking for you who have relevant knowledge and practical experience within the curriculum's content. The most important thing is that you have strong subject matter competence, work-life experience, and the ability to make the teaching concrete, relevant, and useful for the participants' future professional lives.

Responsibilities

The role includes teaching, planning, mentoring, and monitoring the participants' learning.

The teaching covers, among other things, pedagogical and special educational perspectives, leadership, communication, ethics, law, intercultural competence, norm criticism, self-leadership, and issues concerning professional interaction.

You will work both independently and together with other teachers in the team. The role may also include planning and following up on participants' internships, contacting internship sites and supervisors, and supporting participants in their professional and personal development.

The teaching should connect theory and practice. Therefore, you need to be able to use concrete examples, case descriptions, discussions, exercises, and experience-based learning.

We are looking for you who are secure, receptive, and clear in your leadership. You have an easy time building good relationships while also being able to set boundaries and maintain a clear structure.

You view the participants' experiences as a resource and can adapt the teaching to different needs and conditions. You are unpretentious, team-oriented, and wish to contribute to the further development of the education.
