The Contracts and Follow-up Unit is part of the Care and Elderly Care Administration's support staff. We are in an exciting development phase where data-driven follow-up and improvement work are at the center. The unit is characterized by high competence, collegial support, and a shared focus on improving the conditions for operations. We work both on-site in the City Hall and digitally and activity-based, with opportunities for a flexible daily routine. The City Hall is located in an optimal commuting location, a stone's throw from Uppsala Central Station.
During the coming years, the Care and Elderly Care Administration will establish a unified approach to follow-up, with varying follow-up methods integrated into the administration's other steering, to increase the ability to work evidence-based and direct follow-up measures based on identified risks.
Description of duties
As a strategist, you work both as a civil servant in the office and in outreach work within the board's operations, both in public and private sectors. As support in your work, you have your closest colleagues in the unit and the unit manager, as well as other experts within the municipality. The Contracts and Follow-up Unit is part of the Care and Elderly Care Administration's support staff. The unit performs follow-up of publicly and privately operated activities within the responsibility areas of both the Elderly Affairs Board and the Care Affairs Board.
The unit also prepares materials for the responsible boards and the administration, including drafting task descriptions for activities in-house, conducting procurement for operations, needs and target group analyses for forecasting, and investigations based on expertise. The emphasis in the work lies in creating conditions for long-term planning to meet the needs of target groups, as well as monitoring development and compliance in the operations conducted.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- an academic degree in areas such as social law, care, social sciences, law, or economics
- experience working with follow-up in public operations, preferably within care and elderly care
- the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
It is meritorious if you have:
- experience with special housing forms, primarily special housing for the elderly
- experience with target group, stakeholder, or needs analyses within social services (including the Support and Service Act for Certain Persons with Disabilities - LSS)
- experience with non-benefit decisions, also known as open interventions, and support for relatives.
- experience with operational management, for example, unit manager responsible for daily operations

With strategic thinking and a broad perspective on issues, you easily see the bigger picture. You weigh in long-term consequences in your choices and adapt your actions accordingly, making you a valuable resource in planning and development. It is a great advantage if you can handle complex issues and have an analytical ability to break down problems and find solutions even in complicated challenges.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
In your application, you must state your citizenship.
