Description of duties

Your assignment
As a Property Economist, you are a key player in Skolfastigheter's work to provide functional and cost-effective premises for Uppsala Municipality. You are responsible for the financial monitoring of the company's property portfolio (revenues, costs, net operating income, etc.), the VAT and tax assessment status of the properties, and you work with the company's property valuation.

An important area of development for Skolfastigheter is the identification of improvement opportunities, and you actively work, among other things, on developing comparative figures against other organizations to identify these. The Property Economist plays a key role in developing relevant key performance indicators to compare the company's property economics against other actors.

In your work, you will collaborate closely with the company's property managers who are responsible for the properties.

Your background
We are looking for you who have relevant education, for example in economics, at least at the post-secondary level, and several years of experience in working with financial monitoring of results, as well as forecasting and budgeting. We would like you to have experience working in a controller role or similar function with a focus on analysis and monitoring. It is an advantage if you have experience from municipal operations and property companies. The work requires proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, and knowledge of Microsoft 365. Having a B-driver's license is a plus.

It is meritorious if you have:

• education in VAT management
• education in property valuation
• education in property economics

As a person, you understand economic connections and the factors that lead to a business with balanced finances. You are responsible and drive your work forward to achieve results. You are a good analyst who is good at seeing connections and solving complex questions and problems, and has good collaboration skills, relating to others in a listening and flexible manner. To succeed in this assignment, it is important that you can work in a structured way and plan your work.
