Here you will work together with employees from departments for communication, HR, IT, finance, procurement, and real estate, as well as the departments for quality and planning, safety and sustainability, and the secretariat. The Municipal Executive Office also houses the organizations for business and destination, as well as shared services. The Municipal Executive Office acts as the link between the decisions of our elected officials and all the municipality's operations. Our mission includes coordinating and driving overarching issues regarding democracy, societal and business development, as well as ecological and social sustainability.

The Information and Cyber Security Unit is responsible for leading Uppsala Municipality and its companies in the work with information security, data protection, and cyber security. We are 10 employees working both strategically, tactically, and operationally. We are now looking for an employee with a strategic focus for our unit within the IT department.

Description of duties

As an Information Security Strategist, you work with change management to create sustainable and appropriate work with information security in line with the municipal group's goals and mission. This includes supporting all operations with their needs related to information security and data protection. You will be part of a team in our unit where we solve challenges together. You will also participate in an organization with colleagues at the Municipal Executive Office who develop and provide support to our operations' ability to handle information securely. We have a well-established network of data protection coordinators in administrations and companies to help handle operation-specific challenges.

The goal of the assignment is to create conditions for the municipal group to carry out assignments without disruption, focusing on risks in information management. This in turn creates conditions for our residents to feel digital security and trust in our municipality.

The work involves developing norms and working methods that enable efficient information security work throughout the organization. As an Information Security Strategist, you also work with communication, education, networking, and advisory roles. The work also includes monitoring the control and application of systematic information security work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university education in IT or equivalent knowledge/education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You need to have experience in making legal requirements, such as GDPR, the Cyber Security Act, and the AI Regulation, usable in daily work in a larger organization. You have experience with standards within the areas of information security, data protection, and cyber security. Furthermore, you are accustomed to conducting investigations and compiling reports. We also see that you thrive in an advisory role and can create target-group-adapted training.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.

In your application, you must state your citizenship.
