About SVA
Dangerous animal diseases can have serious consequences for animals, humans, the economy, and food supply. The National Veterinary Institute (SVA) is an expert and emergency preparedness authority that contributes to good animal health and reduced disease spread between animals and humans through diagnostics, research, and expert knowledge. SVA is part of the emergency preparedness sector for Food Supply and Drinking Water. Healthy animals – secure people.
The HR department consists of an HR Director, an HR Administrator, an HR Generalist, two HR Specialists, and an Occupational Health and Safety Engineer. Together, we form the authority's HR function and provide support to managers and employees on matters such as employer issues, competence supply, occupational health and safety, and business development.
Do you want to contribute to developing our HR work while working close to the operations? We are now looking for an HR Specialist for a fixed-term appointment of six months. The role combines operational HR support with development work and involves many contact points within the organization.
Your future responsibilities
As an HR Specialist, you will work both operationally and with a development focus. You will provide qualified support to managers on various HR matters and contribute to developing the authority's HR processes and working methods.
An important part of the assignment is to support and develop recruitment work. You will also work with other HR-related issues based on operational needs and contribute to uniform and high-quality HR support.
The responsibilities include, among other things:
- Contribute to and develop recruitment processes and working methods
- Provide operational HR support to one or more departments
- Collaborate with managers, employees, and trade unions on various HR matters
- Participate in the development and improvement of the HR function's processes and working methods
- Work closely with other colleagues within HR and participate in the joint development work within the function.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- An academic education in HR, personnel science, or other education that the employer considers equivalent
- Experience in qualified HR work
- Experience in recruitment and competence supply issues
- Experience in developing or improving HR processes and working methods
- Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
Personal qualities are highly valued. To succeed in the role, you are self-reliant, structured, and have good judgment. You are proactive, easily build trusting relationships, and enjoy collaborating with others. You also have the ability to switch between operational work and development issues, as well as to drive your tasks forward independently.
Merits
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience of HR work in the public sector and good knowledge of public operations and state collective agreements
- Experience of working with collaboration and labor law
- Experience with the recruitment system Varbi
