It offers an extensive and highly regarded undergraduate and doctoral education. The Faculty includes the Department of Law, where approximately 200 people are employed.

Job Description

As a Research Assistant, you will support researchers in two projects: one concerning consumer and data law aspects of public smart and bidirectional charging, and another dealing with data protection and AI regulation with a focus on rare diseases. You will maintain regular contact with the project leaders for the legal aspects, Docent Santa Slokenberga and University Lecturer Andreas Kotsios, assisting them with legal research and project administration. This involves supporting the project by conducting thorough legal analyses of legislation, case law, and other legal documents. You will also help prepare relevant legal documents, correspondence, reports, and scientific articles, ensuring that all information is accurate and up to date. Since the projects are interdisciplinary, you will additionally support the research design and analysis of the empirical parts conducted by other members of the group.

Qualifications

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Law. You must have documented experience in research focusing on EU consumer, AI, data, and data protection law. You should also have a very good understanding of the technology itself (e.g., development of digital solutions) and a good understanding of socio-legal (empirical) studies. Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, is required.

As a candidate, you should be collaborative and thrive working both independently and in larger interdisciplinary project groups. Furthermore, personal suitability is highly valued, including flexibility, problem-solving skills, and a quality-conscious approach. Initiative and a structured working method are important for this position.

Desirable/Additional Merits

You have documented knowledge within academic legal research and practical experience in system development.

Application Procedure

Your application should include:

  • Your Curriculum Vitae
  • A complete publication list
