The Role

Together with a colleague, you will alternate between working strategically with the municipality's land holdings and earth-related problem-solving in development projects, and maintaining close contact with our residents regarding land leases.

• Your main responsibility is to work with the management and development of the municipality's land. You work outward-facing and have extensive contact with private individuals, companies, authorities, and other departments.
• You contribute to the wise and sustainable management and development of the municipality's land reserve. You are one of those who negotiate and draw up agreements for the acquisition and sale of land, granting of land use rights, buildings, and leasehold rights, as well as managing these properties.
• You are part of the entire societal planning process: You participate in detailed planning work, contributing your knowledge regarding implementation issues. Within the development area, you work together with the technical unit on various land-related municipal projects. You conduct the sale of zoned plots.

We at the Land and Planning Unit are nine ambitious and engaged employees with various competencies, working with overview planning, infrastructure, detailed plans, nature conservation, GIS issues, land management, and development. We work with everything from future development strategies to what is here and now. The mix of competencies and assignments makes the daily work varied and educational. Is this you?

We want you to:

• Be a civil engineer in societal planning or have another equivalent university or college education with a focus on, for example, societal planning, surveying, or property law.
• Have experience within the professional field of land and development. Have knowledge of laws and regulations within the subject area, especially the Land Code, the Land Formation Act, the Planning and Building Act, and others.
• Be communicative, driven, and self-initiating, and have an easy time taking initiative and building relationships.
• You also adapt easily and smoothly switch between different tasks. You are good at organizing and prioritizing your work efficiently and have good collaboration skills.
• You, just like us, love the variety that comes with working on societal planning in a small municipality. You are a team player who gladly collaborates to achieve the best results.
• Can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Hold a Category B driver's license.

If you also have previous experience of land management or development issues within public administration, e.g., working with implementation issues in physical planning, working in the detailed planning process, or having experience of negotiation and development agreements, this is extra valuable to us.
