As a Controller with a production focus, you will work close to the operations and take significant responsibility for profitability and financial control. You will operate in a dynamic and development-oriented environment where your contribution is crucial to the success of the business.

About the role

As a Controller, you will have a central role in analyzing, monitoring, and developing the company's financial results. You will work closely with production and contribute with both operational and strategic insights. You are responsible for ensuring efficient resource utilization through profitability analysis and cost monitoring. Budgeting and continuous forecasting are central parts of your work, as well as participating in the closing process to ensure high quality in financial reports.

You will become an important part of one of our larger functional leadership groups and work closely with key personnel in the organization. The role also involves active responsibility in developing routines and systems to continuously improve financial control and reporting. You report to the Financial Manager.

Metsä Board is a listed company, which among other things means regular monthly reporting with tight deadlines (especially the first week of each month) and continuous forecasting work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university or college degree in economics and a good understanding of the basics of accounting and financial processes. To be successful in the role, you should have several years of experience in controlling, preferably in an operationally close role, and thrive working independently and in collaboration with others to analyze, develop, and drive financial processes forward.

Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, especially Excel, is a requirement, while work experience from larger business systems such as SAP is meritorious.

As a person, you are:

• Responsible, structured, and meticulous
• Analytical with a good understanding of business
• A strong communicator and accustomed to handling multiple contact areas
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Personal drive is a key factor for success in this role.
