Welcome to us
Bromma District Administration consists of five departments and a secretariat led by the District Director. This autumn, a new secretariat unit will be established, incorporating functions from the current secretariat as well as various departments within the administration. The unit will serve as a support function for the District Director, as well as a support and sounding board for the administrative management, other managers, and employees on cross-administrative issues.
We are now looking for a Unit Manager who wants to lead and develop this new secretariat unit forward.

Your role
The role of Secretariat Manager involves, among other things, supporting, coordinating, streamlining, and developing the administration's operations, as well as coordinating cross-administrative assignments. The secretariat unit works for the District Director, administrative management, and the administration's departments.
As Secretariat Manager, you lead the work within the unit, which will consist of ten employees from various professions. You have operational, budget, and personnel responsibility for your unit. A major focus is supporting the District Director within the unit's areas, as well as coordinating, driving, and developing the unit.
You are part of the administration's management group and report to the District Director.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for you who have:
- a relevant academic university degree for the assignment,
- good ability and experience in leading/facilitating groups,
- good knowledge of municipal administration and committee processes,
- experience in writing remissvar (consultation responses) or various types of service statements,
- knowledge and experience of Integrated Management Systems (ILS), which is the city's system for managing and steering operations and finance,
- good communication skills, expressing yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
The following are meritorious:
- participation in cross-administrative management groups,
- relevant experience in staff management,
- experience at a city-wide level with good knowledge of political steering and Stockholm City's budget process,
- experience working with innovation,
- experience visualizing operations, their processes, and structures in the modeling tool 2C8.

The management assignment is both developing and challenging. It requires initiative, endurance, and a leadership style characterized by communication, trust, and the courage to handle complex situations. We are looking for you who are a secure and stable leader, acting professionally based on the assignment and situation. You dare to drive decisions and development forward while being responsive to the operation's needs and conditions. You work strategically and purposefully with a holistic perspective, prioritization, and follow-up.
The role requires a development-oriented approach where you drive change and improvement work, as well as promote new thinking, collaboration, and participation. You have the ability to create engagement, build good cooperation, and unite different functions and competencies towards common goals and a clear direction forward.
