Do you have a degree as a primary school teacher with a focus on work in after-school centers (fritidshem)? Then this might be the job for you. We are now looking for two dedicated after-school center teachers who want to contribute with joy, good relationships, and innovative thinking in a business where student development is at the center. Here, you will be part of driving ongoing development work and responsible for the after-school activities.

About Skogsängsskolan

Skogsängsskolan is a newly built F-6 school with nice facilities and a fantastic schoolyard. We have grown over the last few years and today have approximately 460 students in a 3-parallel organization. Here, we work together with a focus on collegial learning. We work preventively to create safety and good conditions for student learning in our multicultural school unit. We work with differentiated and language-developing approaches to achieve higher goal fulfillment.

The school has a comprehensive student health team including a counselor, school nurse, social pedagogue, speech therapist, special education teacher, and special needs pedagogue. School psychologists and school doctors are available through the central student health service. To create safety and study quietness, we place great emphasis on norms, values, and good relationships. An important part of this work is our organized and well-functioning recess activity.

Job Responsibilities

2 positions available.

As an after-school center teacher, you stimulate student development and create a meaningful leisure time. During school hours, you support students and help them with their schoolwork. You work where the need exists and support both individual students and groups. It is important to build good relationships with students to give them a safe transition between the school day and the after-school center. Before and after school hours, you work in the after-school center.

You are part of a work team that works together to develop students' creativity, imagination, and ability to learn together with others. Our goal is for students to have the opportunity to learn in all situations, both during lesson time and through activities at the after-school center.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a great interest in children's development and learning. You have a teaching degree and teaching license with eligibility to teach in after-school centers. If you also have eligibility to teach in an additional subject, preferably art, it is a positive factor. You may also be at the end of your education and finish shortly. It is meritorious if you have experience of teaching in after-school centers and are accustomed to working based on the current curriculum.
