Slottsskolan is a preschool to grade 6 school with 515 students located in central Eskilstuna, within walking distance of the travel center. We are close to the city park, city library, art museum, Munktellstaden, Volvo CE Arena, playgrounds, and green areas. Slottsskolan is situated on historical grounds and is housed in one of Eskilstuna's oldest school buildings, renovated to modern standards. The school's students attend age-homogeneous classes, and the after-school centers are located close to each other. Responsibilities

As a special educator, you have a central role where you lead and develop the school's student health work together with the school management. Your assignment includes both investigative and operational development work, with a particular focus on preventive and health-promoting measures. You contribute to ensuring that students in need of special support receive individualized, inclusive treatment and measures that lead to increased goal achievement.

You work closely with the work team to identify students in need of extra adjustments or special support measures, which are primarily provided within the framework of regular teaching. Together with teaching teachers, the student, and guardians, you follow up and evaluate the work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a special educator degree or are in the final stages of your education. It is meritorious if you have worked as a special educator. We would like you to have experience with pedagogical documentation, such as mappings, pedagogical investigations, and the preparation of action plans. Experience in mentoring and supporting colleagues in special educational work is also an advantage.

You have good analytical skills and can identify needs and translate them into developmental measures. You are structured, take personal responsibility, and have the ability to plan and prioritize your work. Since the assignment involves close collaboration with teachers, student health services, and guardians, you are communicative and have an easy time creating trusting relationships. You enjoy collaborating, mentoring, and supporting others while being able to work independently and drive processes forward.
