International English School (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse, energetic staff. Instruction is delivered in both Swedish and English, with English being the language of the corridors. Teacher in Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) & Social Studies (SO) – Grade 4
International English School Eskilstuna is currently seeking two certified teachers in SVA & SO for Grade 4 who wish to make a difference in our students' development and learning.
Qualifications
As a teacher of SVA & SO with us, you plan and deliver teaching that sparks a desire to learn. You create a safe and inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to develop based on their individual prerequisites. You collaborate closely with colleagues and actively contribute to the school's pedagogical development.
We are looking for someone who:
- holds a Swedish teaching license with eligibility to teach SVA & SO in Grade 4
- is confident in your leadership
- creates inspiring teaching and a sense of security in your student groups
- can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English
- is motivated by seeing students develop and achieve success
- has a positive approach and a good ability to establish and develop relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
- thrives in collaboration and contributes to a positive work environment
About the Role
In this role, you will among other things:
- work towards a stimulating classroom environment for effective teaching and learning
- plan and conduct teaching
- maintain the school's positive ethos and value base, both inside and outside the classroom
- communicate with guardians regarding students' development, progress, and performance
- monitor and document students' knowledge development
- serve as a mentor for students

About the Position
The positions are permanent appointments starting in August 2026. A probationary period applies. The scope is 100% (including holiday pay).
