About Gökstensskolan
Gökstensskolan creates the future – we want to and dare to challenge boundaries together! The school is located in the beautiful town of Torshälla, close to both nature and culture. We have approximately 830 students from preschool class to grade 9. Good relationships are a hallmark of the school, and we always act with good intentions. Responsibilities
Swedish as a Second Language: As a teacher in Swedish as a Second Language, you plan, teach, and evaluate lessons for grades 7–9. With creativity and commitment, you convey knowledge in your subject while actively working to create inclusive and inspiring teaching that motivates students.
Technology: In the role of a Technology teacher, you teach grades 7–9. Here you have the opportunity to strengthen students' technical knowledge and practical applications. You have a colleague who also teaches Technology, and together you shape the teaching and develop the subject at the school. In addition to Technology, you also teach another subject, based on your qualifications and preferences.
You belong to the working group for grades 7–9 and are also a mentor for a class in the lower secondary school.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a teacher's degree and teacher certification with eligibility in the relevant subjects. We would like you to have experience teaching according to the curriculum LGR22. You should have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good IT skills, as you will use digital tools as part of your teaching.
You have good subject knowledge and the ability to pedagogically convey this in the classroom. It is important that you have a good understanding of students' different prerequisites and are skilled at adapting your teaching accordingly. You communicate easily and build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You base your work on proven experience rooted in current research.
