About the Schools

Hammargärdet and Gillberga School are two small rural schools in the same principal's area. Both schools are F-6 schools (Grades 1-6) with approximately 100 students and 20 employees. Gillberga School is located 1.5 miles from Eskilstuna city center, while Hammargärdet is about 3 miles away. There are good bus connections to both schools. Both Hammargärdet and Gillberga School are surrounded by a unique environment with proximity to fantastic nature, which contributes to closeness and security for the students.

Responsibilities

The role involves planning, conducting, and following up on your teaching in our Grade 1. You will belong to a work team consisting of teachers and after-school care staff, where the student's day is viewed as a whole. There are two other primary school teachers to collaborate with and share knowledge with. We also believe that good cooperation with guardians is of great importance for the student's knowledge development.

As a teacher at our schools, we want you to be interested in constantly developing teaching. We work systematically within the framework of our lead teacher program to develop teaching quality. In close collaboration with other educators in the work team, you will be involved in the systematic quality work at the school.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with teacher education and the qualification to teach Grades 1-3. If you are currently studying, that is also fine. Experience working according to the current curriculum (Lgr22) is an advantage.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities and see you as a leader who can adapt your leadership style to the situation and can plan and follow up on your work. As a person, you are sensitive, have good collaboration skills, and can see the big picture in the student's school situation. You communicate easily with both adults and students. We believe that you want to develop in your role as a teacher and contribute to the school's continued development. You are an engaged employee who can build trust and listen to different needs.
