Instructor in Forestry – Launching the Forestry Track at Öknaskolan

About Us
Öknaskolan has approximately 240 students, of whom 160 reside in the school's boarding house. The school offers upper secondary education within the Natural Resource Program, the Vocational Introduction Program, and Adapted Upper Secondary School focused on natural resources. Our goal is to provide the next generation of foresters with the best possible education. Öknaskolan is part of Region Sörmland.

Your Responsibilities
Öknaskolan's Upper Secondary School of Natural Resources is looking for you to help launch the forestry track at Öknaskolan. The first students will start in autumn 2027. Until then, among other tasks, you will work with planning and the practical preparation of practice areas and facilities. You will also participate in purchasing equipment and recruiting staff for the forestry team.

The position involves both practical and theoretical teaching within forestry subjects, with a focus on forest production and forest care. Other subjects within the natural resource program may also become relevant based on your experience and competence. We offer stimulating work where a student focus is a given. As a member of the forestry team, teachers and instructors plan education and work together, all with the aim of providing good conditions for the students' education.

As an instructor at Öknaskolan, you are highly involved in systematic quality work, values-based work, and pedagogical development.

Your Qualifications
You have basic education in forestry or equivalent experience, preferably combined with advanced training in the field. You thrive in the role of an instructor and enjoy working with young people. You have the ability to see connections between theory and practice.

Employment Terms
