We are now looking for an engaged and creative ceramics instructor for our new ceramics workshop at Medborgarskolan in Eskilstuna.

As an instructor with us, you will have the opportunity to share your experience, guide participants in their creative process, and contribute to developing our creative meeting places. You will inspire, encourage, and support participants in their artistic journey – whether they are beginners or have prior experience. The assignment takes place in the evenings and on weekends, making it ideal for those who wish to combine their interest in ceramics with a meaningful and developmental role.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct ceramics courses for adults and children (beginners and possibly advanced groups).
• Provide guidance in various techniques, such as throwing, coiling, pinching, etc.
• Create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment.
• Collaborate with activity developers regarding course structure and scheduling.

Good to know

• The ceramics workshop will be completed before the start of the spring term in 2027.
• In autumn 2026, an introduction in the form of training and study visits is planned.
• Being an instructor should be seen as a side job alongside your main employment.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of ceramics and practical experience with various techniques.
• Formal education in the craft is an advantage.
• Pedagogical skills and interest in teaching.
• Previous experience in holding courses/group activities is an advantage but not a requirement.
• Flexibility, sense of responsibility, and a positive attitude.
