Welcome to Stallarholmsskolan, a preschool to grade 6 school with approximately 330 students and an associated after-school center. The school is located in a natural setting with Lake Mälaren just around the corner, between Mariefred and Strängnäs. The surrounding area offers beautiful and historical surroundings as well as access to our own school forest. We use this inspiring outdoor environment as a natural part of the teaching. Our teachers enjoy collaborating across grade levels and often work in joint projects and themes, which creates enthusiasm, creativity, and engagement in learning.

We are now looking for an After-School Center Assistant for a temporary position during the 2026/2027 school year.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an After-School Center Assistant who wants to help shape and develop our operations, with a focus on providing children with a safe and caring environment throughout the school day. If you are driven, creative, and want to take our after-school center to a new level, this could be the job for you.

As an After-School Center Assistant at Stallarholmsskolan, you work with the school's younger students throughout the entire school day, including after-school hours. During the school day, you support students in the classroom and provide assistance to those who need it.

It is important that you:

  • ensure that all children receive the attention they need so they can develop and feel safe
  • actively participate in play and activities
  • support the teacher in the pedagogical work conducted in the classroom.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a high school diploma
  • experience working with children with diabetes
  • experience working with students with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NDD).

We are looking for someone with a good ability to create and develop sustainable relationships with students and guardians. You are development-oriented, take initiative, and serve as a positive role model through your pedagogical approach. In your role, you are positive, unpretentious, and solution-focused, with a strong drive to develop both the operations and the students' learning. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work in a structured and efficient manner, while contributing to a safe and stimulating learning environment.
