Slottsskolan is a school for grades F-6 with 515 students located in central Eskilstuna, within walking distance of the travel center. We are close to the city park, city library, art museum, Munktellstaden, Volvo CE arena, playgrounds, and green areas. Slottsskolan is situated on historic grounds and is housed in one of Eskilstuna's oldest school buildings, renovated to modern standards. The school's students attend age-homogeneous classes, and the after-school centers are located close to each other. Responsibilities

As a music teacher with us, you will teach our students in grades 3-6. For grades 4-6, you will teach in half-classes. You will have access to the school's well-equipped music room, which offers good conditions for creative teaching. Like all teachers here, you will contribute to the development of the school and teaching based on our goals. You will vary your teaching to meet the different needs of all students. Planning, evaluation, and assessment of the work are done individually and in collaboration with colleagues. Mentorship is included in the role.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teacher's degree and teacher certification with eligibility to teach music. Alternatively, you have ongoing studies and are expected to finish shortly. If you have experience teaching music for the current grades, and are accustomed to working based on LGR22, it is meritorious.

You enjoy working together with others, while being independent in your own planning and teaching. In the classroom, you are a secure and clear leader who can adapt your leadership style to the situation and group. You are receptive, communicative, and create good relationships with both students, guardians, and colleagues. We see that you have a desire to develop in your teaching role and that you want to be part of driving the school's continued development. Your ability to collaborate and build trust are therefore important qualities.
