Skogsängsskolan is a newly built F-6 school with nice facilities and a fantastic schoolyard. We have grown in recent years and today have approximately 460 students in a three-parallel organization. At our school, we work together with a focus on collegial learning. We work preventively to create safety and good conditions for student learning in our multicultural school unit. We work with differentiated and language-developing approaches to achieve higher goal fulfillment. The school has a comprehensive student health team including a counselor, school nurse, social pedagogue, special education teacher, and special needs pedagogue. We also have a school psychologist and school doctor from the central student health service. To create safety and study peace, we place great emphasis on norms, values, and good relationships. An important part of this work is our organized and well-functioning recess activity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Here, you teach physical education and health to students in grades 1-6. You share the teaching with an experienced colleague. For some classes, you work together in a two-teacher model. You adapt the teaching to the students' age and knowledge level. You create a safe environment where all students feel included and have the opportunity to develop confidence in their own physical abilities. The school has its own gym and good opportunities for outdoor teaching in nearby nature. Together with a colleague, you share mentorship for a middle school class. As a mentor, you follow the students' academic and social development, maintain contact with guardians, and contribute to creating safety, well-being, and good conditions for learning. You contribute to the school's joint work on classroom leadership, study peace, and accessible learning environments.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a teaching degree and teaching certification with eligibility to teach physical education and health. You may also be at the end of your education and finish shortly. It is meritorious if you have experience teaching in schools and are accustomed to working based on the current curriculum.
