Welcome to us

Vällingbyskolan is a pleasant F-9 school (preschool class to grade 9) with adapted primary education, located near Vällingby's center and beautiful green areas. In total, there are approximately 750 students and 145 employees here. At Vällingbyskolan, there is dedicated and experienced staff striving to provide the best possible school for their students. We have invested in strengthening the school's student health work by increasing the number of special education teachers, counselors, and school nurses, as well as introducing full-time mentors in grades 4–9.

In the coming years, we will work together to continue developing the operations with a focus on student learning and teaching quality.

Your role

In the role of a leisure center teacher (fritidshem), you will be responsible for ensuring that teaching is designed in accordance with the Education Act, the curriculum, and other national and municipal steering documents.

In the leisure center, you and your colleagues offer students a meaningful leisure time by starting from the students' needs, interests, and experiences, but also by continuously challenging them further and inspiring new discoveries. In teaching, you work to promote students' imagination, empathy, and ability to learn together with others through play, movement, and creative activities with aesthetic forms of expression, as well as exploratory and practical working methods.

Together with your colleagues, you work for a trusting, open, and respectful collaboration with homes and conduct development talks, preferably together with preschool class or primary school, to provide a holistic perspective on the student's learning and development.

Your qualifications and experience

You who apply:

• are a certified leisure center teacher
• have experience in conducting teaching that gives the student the opportunity to develop ideas, solve problems, and put ideas into action.

You are secure, stable, have good self-insight, and adapt your approach depending on the situation. You appreciate working towards goals and focus on continuous improvements of the operations and your own professional practice. You have good collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and guardians. You have a good ability to listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive way. You are structured, by planning, organizing, and prioritizing the work in an efficient manner.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Vällingbyskolan has a wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK per year.
