About the operations:

At the Integration and Language Unit, we work with mother tongue instruction and study guidance for all schools in the municipality, as well as reception of newly arrived students in the municipality's primary schools.

Responsibilities:

In your role as a mother tongue teacher, you will plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching according to the curriculum and course plan in mother tongue. Teaching takes place on Wednesdays from 14:10-17:00, divided into three lessons. The teacher teaches remotely from any location using Google Meet, while students remain at their home schools where guidance counselors are available. The position is 15 %.

Qualifications:

• Has the current language as a mother tongue with documented good knowledge of Finnish.
• Has very good knowledge of the Swedish curriculum.
• Speaks and writes Swedish at a good academic level.
• Has experience teaching via distance learning.
• Has experience with mother tongue instruction.
• Is a regular user of iPad/computers as well as Google Classroom and Google Meet.
• It is meritorious if you have a Swedish teaching license and are eligible as a mother tongue teacher in Finnish.

The employment is a permanent part-time position at 15 % starting August 12 or as agreed. Probationary employment may apply. If you lack a Swedish teaching license, the employment will instead be time-limited according to the Education Act. We apply individual salary setting.
