About the Role

As a security guard, you have a genuine desire to build good relationships and respect everyone, regardless of background. You are employed by Securitas but work under the regulations of the Swedish Police Authority. Your primary task is to make people feel safe in their daily lives. You do this by being present in public spaces, hopefully providing a calming effect, but if the situation requires it, you are expected to act.

The current assignment is in Norrköping.

The assignment involves maintaining order and creating a sense of safety in enclosed spaces and public areas, with a focus on being visible, accessible, and preventive in your approach.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is a calm and stable person who can maintain composure even when much is happening around you. You are humble, team-oriented, and service-minded in interactions with the public, but you also understand the responsibility of your role and can remain objective when required. Great importance is placed on your personal suitability for the position.

• You have a security guard education with a valid security guard permit.
• Approved grades in Swedish from the first year of upper secondary school.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
• The position is classified in the security class, so a security clearance with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will be conducted. Employment assumes a successful security clearance.
• Based on this, Swedish citizenship is required.

Meritorious Qualifications

• You have security guard training VU1 and VU2. If not, we will offer this training, as the position requires both educations, i.e., both as a Security Guard and a Guard.

Working Hours

The work is performed according to a 5–2 schedule with work every other weekend.

You work a varied schedule where all shifts are included in the position. Shifts start and end between 06:00–18:00 or 18:00–06:00 depending on which schedule row you are assigned to. This means you either work full-time nights or full-time days.

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, you must have approved grades from the first year of upper secondary school in Swedish and be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on Security Companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be required. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements for approval according to the respective legislation, a background check is conducted. The assessment covers law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on collective agreements between the employer organization Säkerhetsföretagen and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
