The Joint Management Administration consists of the areas of Democracy & Service, Economy & Procurement, Working Life & Digital Technology, Strategic Urban Planning, Fire & Rescue Service & Security, and the Secretariat.

The Administration is tasked with leading, supporting, and coordinating the entire municipal organization on behalf of the Municipal Executive Board. This is done by keeping the customer's needs in focus, maintaining a holistic view, and using common working methods. We are a learning organization that promotes innovation and learning from both the external world and each other.

The Fire & Rescue Service and Security area is characterized by responsibility, collaboration, and strong civic engagement. Here, we work to create safety for residents and businesses through preventive work, supervision, education, and interventions during accidents and crises.

The work is varied and can involve everything from operational rescue missions to planning, risk analysis, and information campaigns. With professionalism, respect, and care, we meet people in both daily life and emergency situations.

Within the Civil Protection and Preparedness unit, cases such as authority enforcement, advisory services, education including communication, as well as civil preparedness, security, insurance, crisis preparedness, and heightened readiness are handled.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Security Coordinator, you will work together with your colleagues to drive and coordinate security issues within the unit and serve as a qualified support for the rest of the organization.

You will have the opportunity to drive development work within security, which involves identifying and analyzing risks and planning how to handle them. Your duties include, among other things, managing operational security and physical security for Motala Municipality.

As needed, you will draft proposals for new and revised policy documents and act as an expert both towards elected officials and operations. You are expected to be able to lead and coordinate cross-sectoral preparatory groups in the municipality, as well as represent the municipality externally in security matters and collaborate with authorities and other actors.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal Competencies:

• You, the applicant, have a post-secondary education in areas such as operational security and physical security. You may also have other education combined with work experience that the employer considers relevant.
• Further education and/or certification in the security field, for example, physical security, signal security, and similar.
• You have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
• You have a B driving license.
• It is meritorious if you have worked in a municipal organization and have experience in security work, as well as knowledge of relevant legislation in the area.
• It is also meritorious if you have experience in conducting training and/or exercises.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: According to agreement with the hiring manager.
Working hours: Office hours with flexibility.

In this recruitment, the final candidate will undergo a security clearance, which includes an extract from the criminal record.
