Avarn Security has the contract to deliver security services to Stockholm Arlanda Airport, which involves staffing with airport controllers, security guards, and watchmen. For many years, we have also delivered security services to Malmö Airport (Sturup), Sälen Airport (Scandinavian Mountains Airport), and Oslo Lufthavn Gardermoen.
The security control at Arlanda is one of Sweden's most complex, dynamic, and visible assignments. It places high demands on quality, service, and continuous development. To ensure that we meet and exceed these requirements, we are now looking for an engaged and development-oriented Education Manager.
About the Role
As the Education Manager, you have overall responsibility for leading, coordinating, and developing the educational activities within Avarn Aviation.
You work closely with both internal functions and the client to ensure relevant and high-quality educational initiatives. The role involves strategic and operational responsibility where you contribute to the business's development and quality assurance.
You report to the Business Area Manager for the assignment and are part of the management group for the assignment.
Location: Arlanda Airport
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent (6-month probationary period applies)
Working Hours: Weekdays without holidays
Start Date: As soon as possible or by agreement
Responsibilities
The role includes, among other things:
- Planning, coordinating, and monitoring the business's training programs.
- Leading and developing instructor groups.
- Ensuring annual planning of mandatory training courses.
- Responsible for documentation of mandatory training, further education, and practical training.
- Responsible for competence requirements, training, and follow-up for image interpretation. Lead the image interpretation coordinators and ensure continuous X-ray certification for the assignment at Arlanda.
- Produce statistics and reports related to the training held on the assignment and analyze future training needs.

- Experience in personnel management or leading through others.

- Experienced in planning, prioritizing, and creating structure even in a changing environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to adapt your message to different target groups.
- Relationship-building and easy to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical, solution-oriented, and works systematically with follow-up and improvements.
- Has strong self-drive and the ability to turn ideas into concrete results.
- Good administrative skills and is accustomed to working in various digital systems.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
Qualifications
Qualifications for the role include experience from the security industry, airport operations, or other security-critical operations, as well as experience with authority-led training or work based on regulatory requirements. Furthermore, experience in competence supply and training planning in larger organizations, pedagogical training or adult education training, and experience in project management or change management are valuable. Previous work in a management group is also considered an advantage. You also communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

The position is security-classified and requires that you are crime-free and law-abiding, a Swedish citizen, have sound finances, undergo a security clearance check, and subsequent register control.
All personnel in authorized security companies must be approved by the authorities regarding law-abidingness, civic reliability, and suitability.
