The Southern Military Region is recruiting a Recruitment Officer for the Life Grenadier Regiment in Östergötland (LVG) in a civilian position based in Linköping/Malmen. About the Unit

The Southern Military Region (MR S) is one of four military regions, representing a permanent military-geographical division of Sweden's territory. The Military Region is responsible for territorial command and coordination of missions and operations, total defense planning, defense planning, intelligence and security services, as well as support to society. The responsibility also includes production and mission command of MR S's five Military Region Groups with their associated home guard battalions.

About the Life Grenadier Regiment (LVG)

LVG is a Military Region Group, a wartime unit, and part of MR S's command capability. The unit is located at Malmen, and its primary task is to train, develop, and lead the Home Guard in Östergötland. The Home Guard is tasked with operating across the entire spectrum of conflict - from supporting society during severe stress in peacetime to armed combat in war. The Home Guard is part of the Swedish Armed Forces' operational organization. Home guard units have the main tasks of protecting, guarding, surface surveillance, and supporting society during crises. LVG also has the task of supporting the activities of the voluntary defense organizations in the county.

Main Responsibilities

In the role of Recruitment Officer, you will support LVG's recruitment coordinator in their daily work. As a Recruitment Officer, you will work with recruitment for two home guard battalions, including a military band. This includes processing applications and following up on recruitment efforts in the support system "My Swedish Armed Forces". In addition to administrative support, the role involves other types of work such as participating in events, providing support at information and recruitment meetings, working with statistics, and reporting on both recruitment and separations. Contribute to solving other recurring tasks within the Life Grenadier Regiment.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Approved upper secondary education
  • Relevant experience in recruitment administration or other relevant experience deemed suitable by the employer
  • Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing
  • Good computer skills and good knowledge of MS Office
  • Category B driver's license

Merits

  • Experience working with PRIO (SAP) and the recruitment tool "My Swedish Armed Forces"
  • Degree from post-secondary education deemed relevant by the employer
  • Good knowledge of the Home Guard and voluntary defense organizations
  • Completed military service
  • Experience working with training and/or interviews

Other Information

Employment Type: Civil permanent employment. A 6-month probationary period applies to those not currently employed by the Swedish Armed Forces.

Full-time/Part-time: Full-time. Evening and weekend duty may occur. Travel within Sweden with overnight stays may occur.

Work Location: Linköping/Malmen.

Start Date: By agreement.

Salary: 29,000 – 32,000 SEK/month depending on education, competence, and experience. Individual salary setting applies.

The Southern Military Region (MR S) is a wartime unit and an organizational unit where the Commander and Staff are located in Revingehed. The organization consists of the Commander with staff, five military region groups for training and support of the home guard, and approx. 7,000 home guard soldiers organized in eleven battalions and a number of independent units. C MR S with regional staff leads subordinate units, cooperates with regional and local actors, leads security and intelligence services, and supports operational and tactical commanders who solve tasks within the region.
