ABOUT THE POSITION

We at Inre Kraft are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant for our client in Öjebyn. We are currently seeking temporary substitutes.

For our client, you will work weekdays and weekends according to the following schedule:

• Monday–Thursday plus Saturday and Sunday from 12:00–20:00

• Fridays from 12:00–16:30

Start date is by agreement, and we would appreciate it if you could start the introduction immediately.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a cheerful and lively four-year-old boy who loves being outdoors – whether it's playing in the forest, exploring playgrounds, or sometimes relaxing with his iPad. He has cerebral palsy and epilepsy and therefore needs help and support in all aspects of daily life. He lives with his family in Öjebyn, where both a dog and a cat are part of their daily lives.

During the day, he attends preschool. When the preschool day is over, you as the assistant take over by being a safe, playful, and engaged part of his afternoon and evening. Together you train, eat, play, and find fun activities both indoors and outdoors, all in a warm and caring environment where joy and curiosity are allowed to flourish.

The duties include:

• Support with daily routines, including household chores

• Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing/undressing, and meals

• Training and activation

• Medication and tube feeding

The client uses a wheelchair, shower chair, feeding tube, and requires overnight oxygen monitoring. Communication aids will be introduced shortly.

ARE YOU THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for someone who is positive and still has a childlike spirit! You need to be comfortable with/enjoy playing with the client. You are patient and have the ability to handle stressful situations that may arise. It is a great advantage if you enjoy outdoor activities, walks, and playing in forests and playgrounds.

REQUIREMENTS

• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

• Ability to tolerate fur-bearing animals (dog and cat live in the home)

• You are a non-smoker (the client is sensitive to smoke)

• Ability to swim and tolerate chlorinated water

MERITS

• Previous experience working as a personal assistant or other care experience

• Care education or equivalent

• Experience with cerebral palsy and/or epilepsy

Employment level: 1–2 temporary substitutes as needed.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with collective agreements.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new regulations will apply, meaning the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order well in advance.
