ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant on a temporary contract for our male client in Luleå, with good prospects for a permanent position in the future.

The working hours are as follows:

  • Weekdays: 14:30 – 22:00

  • Weekends: 10:45 – 18:30 and 11:00 – 22:00

  • Night work may occur

Start date is by agreement, but we would appreciate it if you could start your introduction immediately.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a man in his 20s with autism. He needs your help, structure, and security in his daily life. Your main tasks involve:

  • Support with daily routines and household chores

  • Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing/undressing, and meals

  • Being a pedagogical support and helping him understand and manage his surroundings

We are looking for you who are passionate about working with people and have a natural ability to read and analyze others' needs. Great emphasis is placed on your personal suitability. As a person, you should be:

  • Calm and stable (creating security in the moment)

  • Receptive, proactive, and engaged

  • Solution-focused and skilled at reading situations

It is a great advantage if you have previous experience working with long-term strategies and preventive measures in your approach.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

MERITS

  • Experience working with autism

  • Experience and knowledge in low-arousal approach

Employment level: 1 temporary contract with good prospects for permanent employment

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with collective agreements.

To be employed by us at Bättre Assistans, you need to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the service. A prerequisite for starting an employment with us is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID and/or submit a certificate of personal data (personbevis) as well as any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the certificate of personal data from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present a certificate of no criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new regulations will apply meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and extracts from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so the order should be placed well in advance.
