In the Economic Assistance department in Gällivare, we actively work with our strengthened activity requirement. Job Responsibilities

As a Social Secretary with a focus on the activity requirement, you will have a clear focus on the 'work-first' line. You will investigate the right to social assistance according to the Social Services Act (SoL), but your most important task is to make decisions and follow up based on the activity requirement so that our citizens achieve self-sufficiency.

Your role includes:

• Investigating, assessing, and making decisions regarding economic assistance based on current legislation.
• Creating and following up on individual plans linked to the activity requirement.
• Monitoring clients' attendance and progress in assigned activities.
• Handling reductions in assistance in case of lack of participation according to current routines.
• Collaborating closely with the municipality's labor market unit and external actors.

Qualifications

You have a degree in Social Work or an education assessed as relevant for the position.

You should have good knowledge of current legislation and a humanistic view of humanity. We are looking for someone driven by seeing people develop. You have a good balance between being empathetic and supportive, while also being comfortable with setting demands, holding boundaries, and making independent decisions. You have good command of Swedish in both speech and writing.

You are service-oriented, solution-focused, and flexible, as the work may involve urgent decision-making. You need to be confident in yourself and have a professional approach.

Experience with the case management system Pulsen Combine and previous experience in economic assistance are highly meritorious. It is an advantage if you have a B driving license.

Personal suitability is given great weight.

Under the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is meritorious when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

We invest in close leadership, a coordinator for supervision, and external supervision together with other case handlers. Working Hours/Duration

Full-time, permanent employment. The Assistance Unit has reduced working hours, and the weekly working time is 35.92 hours/week. The position includes on-call duties. Probationary period may apply.
