Do you want to help create a safer future for children and young people in Luleå? The Social Services Administration in Luleå Municipality is now seeking dedicated field assistants for the Individual and Family Care unit.

We are a dynamic workplace working to promote safety and prevent crime, drugs, and mental health issues among young people. Here, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people through social relationship-building work and violence prevention. You will work closely with three colleagues in the team and be based at our office in central Luleå.

Job Responsibilities

As a field assistant, you will be a key figure in our outreach and relationship-building work with children and young people in their everyday environments.

You will work closely with young people to promote a positive lifestyle and prevent them from engaging in risky behaviors and norm-breaking actions. Through advisory support to both young people and parents, you will help them find the right path. You will collaborate with schools, the police, parents, and other important adults to create safety and good conditions for the future of young people. You will participate in preventive safety work and help develop field operations as an important part of the social services' promoting and preventive measures.

The role also involves evening and weekend work on weekdays. During special occasions, such as school graduations and other high-risk evenings, additional evening shifts may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a relevant university degree and a valid B-class driver's license.

You should have the ability to establish and maintain relationships with children and young people, good teamwork skills, and the ability to adapt to different environments and situations. It is also important that you are confident and brave enough to act in challenging situations.

Meritorious experience:

• Experience working with children and young people
• Knowledge of social media
• Experience with violence prevention programs
