ABOUT THE POSITION

Bättre Assistans is part of Inre Kraft, and we are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant for our client in Sävast. We offer hourly substitute positions now + substitute positions during the summer! To be considered for the hourly substitute position, you must be able to work to some extent during the summer.

For this client, two assistants always work together between 08:00-18:00.

The working hours are scheduled on weekdays and weekends as follows:

  • 08:00-18:00 (double assistance)

  • 08:00-08:00 next day (8 hours waiting time/24-hour shift)

Start date and introduction are agreed upon individually.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a woman in her 50s who needs your help as an assistant to live the best life possible. As an assistant, you help her in everyday life with various tasks and activities, trying to encourage participation according to her conditions.

Listening to music, watching TV, and walks are activities the client enjoys doing together with you as her assistant. Our client has Autism, Fragile X syndrome, and an intellectual disability. She has reduced verbal ability and communicates primarily through sounds and body language. The assistance task is of a supervisory and guiding nature.

The duties include:

  • Support with daily routines, such as household chores and activities

  • Help with personal hygiene, dressing/undressing, and meals

  • Motivation, guidance, and structure

The client uses a wheelchair and an electric wheelchair.

ARE YOU THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

To thrive with our client, you should be confident in yourself, be a good team player who works well together with your colleagues. You should be communicative and have a good ability to adjust your activity level to the client; at times, the work involves a lot of silence before quickly switching to activity requiring supervision. You should have a good ability to read other people and enjoy working preventively. We also see that you, as an applicant, have basic cooking skills, as homemade food is important to the client.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Very good knowledge of the Swedish language

MERITS

  • Previous experience working as a personal assistant or within healthcare

  • Experience with Autism/Fragile X/Intellectual disability

  • Category B driver's license and access to a car

  • Basic knowledge of cooking

Employment level: 2-3 hourly substitutes as needed, who can also work parts of the summer.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with collective agreements.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply, meaning the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so the order should be placed well in advance.
