Norrköping Swimming Club is looking for a Manager for the Swimming School Operations

Norrköping Swimming Club (NKK) was founded in September 1919 and has since been a prominent association in swimming and water sports in Norrköping, Sweden. Over the years, the club has played a central role in promoting swimming as a lifelong sport and has contributed to shaping several generations of swimmers with fantastic success. We are looking for a Manager for the Swimming School Operations who wants to help develop the operations and works well in a team. The role involves leading our swimming school groups with a focus on swimming instruction. Your experience and a clear leadership style are important. Together with other staff, you will create an inspiring atmosphere and drive a setup aimed at achieving the club's long-term goals. We see you as a positive, proactive, and results-oriented person who leads and inspires your team within the swimming school operations. Communication with staff and our members is a given. The job requires being in and around the pool, followed by administrative tasks.

What the role entails:

As the Manager for the Swimming School Operations, you are responsible for the overall direction and serve as a link to other operations. You will:

• Develop and lead the swimming school with the aim of achieving the association's strategic goals.
• Continue to develop the association's entire operations together with managers in various areas.
• Ensure that the operations are planned and carried out on a seasonal basis.
• Have result and budget responsibility for the swimming school operations.
• Have personnel and working environment responsibility. Recruit, plan, coach, and train instructors in the swimming school operations.
• Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.
• Have experience and good knowledge of leadership.
• Have knowledge of the physical and psychological development of children.
• Teach groups in the water and be engaged and interested in swimming instruction. Ensure that we follow the Swedish Swimming Federation's Swimming Line.
• Have relevant education, preferably education according to the Swedish Swimming Federation's education ladder, preferably licensed Swimming Instructor and previous leadership roles.

Your qualities:

You love swimming and are passionate about working with swimming proficiency and training for children, youth, and adults. You enjoy working in a team that together drives and develops the operations forward. As a leader, you have great integrity, are a good communicator, and have good pedagogical skills, the ability, and the desire to create good team spirit and engagement.

Employment type:

100% where approx. 35% is swimming school instruction and the rest is administrative tasks. Contract according to the Sports Industry Agreement.
