Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Workplace Description
The City of Stockholm is one of the country's largest employers, and the Education Administration is Sweden's largest administration with approximately 16,000 employees. As Stockholm grows and changes, so does our mission. This requires us to constantly work to develop our operations and our shared competence. The Administration is responsible, among other things, for all municipal primary and upper secondary schools within the City of Stockholm.
The Unit for Compensation and School Compulsion is one of four units belonging to the Department of Economy and Control and consists of about thirty employees. Within the unit, we work with issues regarding school compulsion, school placement, school transport, and compensation to independent, state, and other municipalities' schools.
We are now looking for a qualified administrator for a fixed-term position, as the permanent holder of the position is on leave to try other work.
Job Description
As an administrator, your tasks include serving as the personnel reporter for the unit, providing administrative support to managers, and acting as the unit's IT contact person. Periodically, you will work administratively within our various areas: school compulsion issues, school placements, school transport, and payment of compensation. Filing, archiving, and financial management are also tasks included in the role.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have experience from public administration and varied administrative assignments. The work requires good attention to detail, and that you are structured and self-initiating. You have a good ability to prioritize, plan, and organize your work effectively. You have good cooperation skills, the ability to quickly grasp new issues, and are flexible. Your skills align well with the unit's core values: proactive, development-oriented, friendly, engaged, and professional. You have good communicative skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Your ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to changes is crucial for success in this role.
We are looking for you who have:
- Education in administration, human resources, or economics, or other education that the employer deems suitable for the position.
- Good IT competence and experience working with various parts of the Office package.
- Experience handling large amounts of data.
- Previous experience with administrative tasks within a municipal authority, preferably within the education sector.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
