We are looking for an experienced Interim Controller with a focus on IT for a role within a larger organization. The assignment involves supporting the business during a fixed-term period and providing qualified financial support within the IT sector.

In this role, you will work closely with business managers and other key stakeholders, responsible for financial monitoring, analysis, and control. You will combine operational controller work with a strategic perspective, contributing to the development of financial processes and decision-making materials.

Responsibilities

As an Interim Controller, you will:

• Participate in and be responsible for parts of the monthly closing, including accruals and provisions.
• Contribute to ongoing financial monitoring and reporting.
• Conduct financial reviews together with managers and business owners, compiling analyses and reports.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts in close collaboration with the business.
• Provide support and guidance on financial matters, such as invoice processing and financial routines.
• Prepare financial decision-making materials and act as a qualified support to the business.
• Monitor investments, analyze outcomes, and assess goal achievement.
• Develop business cases for investments and change initiatives.
• Participate in tenders, contract issues, and dialogue with suppliers.
• Participate in development projects and contribute to improving processes for monitoring and reporting.
• Handle other finance-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in Business/Economics or equivalent education.
• At least five years of experience working as a Controller.
• Very good knowledge of accounting.
• Advanced skills in Excel.
• Experience with BI tools, such as Qlik Sense or similar.
• A good understanding of financial management within IT or other technical operations.
• The ability to communicate financial analyses and relationships clearly to different target groups.

Preferred Qualifications

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• Auditing.
• Controller work within IT operations.
• The financial system Mercur or similar planning tools.
• Investment monitoring and preparation of business cases.
• Contract and supplier negotiations.
