Mestergruppen Sverige is an association of independent entrepreneurs. Under their umbrella are well-known chains such as XL-BYGG, BOLIST, Happy Homes, Colorama, and Mal Proff. Together, they are market leaders in the building materials trade in Sweden, with approximately 275 stores across the country. In addition, the business includes approximately 175 specialized paint stores, making them one of Sweden's largest players with an extensive store network. Mestergruppen's office in Solna consists of approximately 90 dedicated employees and offers support in areas such as purchasing, master data, marketing, e-commerce, finance, logistics, business systems, as well as store development and establishment. As a support function to their members and shareholders, they have an important mission: to provide products, services, and competence that enable the stores in their chains to be profitable, efficient, and successful. The Service Office Mestergruppen Sverige is part of the Mestergruppen group, with headquarters in Oslo, and they strongly believe in the power of a group-wide working method.
Mestergruppen is located in modern premises at the top of Solna Gate, with a gym, sports hall, and restaurant in the building.
Responsibilities
As a Junior Purchasing Controller, you play a central role in strengthening Mestergruppen's purchasing work and contributing to the goal of achieving the industry's best purchasing terms and efficient logistics. The role is broad and business-oriented, where you act as a support to the operations through analysis, follow-up, and administration. You collaborate closely with purchasing, finance, logistics, suppliers, and Mestergruppen's members.
An important part of the role is to work with the follow-up of supplier bonuses and incentives, as well as ensuring that information, invoicing, and reporting maintain high quality. You will also work in BI systems to monitor and analyze purchasing-related data and contribute materials that support business decisions.
You will be part of a team of four people, where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a flat hierarchy are a natural part of everyday life. The role is varied and includes both recurring administrative tasks and analytical work, giving you a broad understanding of Mestergruppen's purchasing processes.
Examples of tasks:
- Handle, follow up, and reconcile supplier bonuses and incentives.
- Responsible for invoicing and credit notes related to supplier incentives.
- Work with follow-up and analysis in BI systems.
- Update supplier information and ensure correct data in internal systems.
- Coordinate and organize internal and external information distribution.
- Prepare materials, reports, and statistics to support purchasing operations.
Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities
- Post-secondary education in economics, logistics, or a similar field.
- At least one year of experience in an administrative role, for example within purchasing or finance.
- Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
- Good knowledge of Excel.
- Experience working with BI tools is an advantage.
