At Kommunal Direkt, approximately 20 employees currently work together, passionate about providing professional general union advice to Kommunal members. Contact is primarily made via phone, but also through other digital channels such as email, chat, and social media. Therefore, it is important that you enjoy providing service both orally and in writing. The most common questions we receive concern membership, member benefits, professional development, employment terms, types of employment, salaries, leave, insurance, as well as questions about co-determination and working environment.

About the position

As an advisor, you provide general union advice and service to Kommunal members, primarily via phone. You naturally answer incoming calls and also make your own contacts to provide answers to current questions. You assess each individual question based on the member's situation and provide advice based on relevant laws and agreements. The role also includes answering questions received via email or social media, as well as staffing live chat. The position involves working with a recruitment-oriented focus. Kommunal is in a constant process of development to meet the members' needs and the conditions of the industries. Kommunal Direkt is a unit that helps test new things, develops working methods, and processes.

Knowledge and experience

We are looking for you who have broad competence and experience, preferably within Kommunal's professions and industries, to provide the best possible service. It is an advantage if you have experience from union work as a elected representative, preferably within Kommunal, and have good and documented knowledge in labor law and/or working environment issues. Since the role involves communicating both via phone and in various digital forums, it is of utmost importance that you master Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have good knowledge of English in speech and writing. It is an advantage for the position if you have additional language skills.

To succeed in the role, you must be proactive, creative, and solution-oriented within the framework of the assignment. You have a very good ability to meet members in different situations with presence and respect. As an advisor, it is important that you are pedagogical in your communication and have the ability to express and explain laws and agreements clearly and distinctly so that the member has the opportunity to understand. You thrive working in a team that works both collectively and individually to provide the best possible service. Naturally, you contribute to creating a good work climate in our team. What do we offer?

We offer a fixed-term contract starting as soon as possible until December 18, 2026. Working hours are scheduled. We apply individual salary setting. A collective agreement exists with Handels Tjänstemannaklubb. The position is located in newly renovated and pleasant premises at Kommunal's headquarters, Hagagatan 2 in central Stockholm. We work in an open-plan office, and the operations are open Monday-Friday from 08:00-17:00.
