Municipal Executive Board Administration
The Municipal Executive Board Administration consists of several central support functions including communication, secretariat, staff, HR, finance, catering, IT, security, as well as investigation and analysis.
The Investigation Unit
The Investigation Unit is a small and dynamic unit that works closely with the municipal executive board and politics. We have a broad area of responsibility covering the entire municipal mandate. Job Description
As an investigator/analyst, you work with qualified investigation and preparation work prior to decisions in the municipal executive board, municipal council, and full municipal council. You work closely and on behalf of both the municipal executive board and politics, and collaborate in the handling of cases with the Head of Investigation.
Your work consists mainly of analysis, text production, and reporting within strategic and overarching issues. This can involve municipality-wide governance, organizational and environmental analyses, operational development, as well as politically initiated investigations within varying subject areas.
The unit is also responsible for monitoring the goals of the municipal council, remiss responses and consultations, as well as the preparation of motions and citizen proposals. Many assignments involve coordination across the entire municipal group and representing the municipality's interests in various contexts.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have an academic degree in political science or another education that the employer deems relevant.
You have experience in case handling and case preparation in a politically governed organization.
You have the ability to summarize complex contexts and facts into short, accessible briefings and to present these to decision-making bodies from time to time. The role requires good stylistic ability and a good understanding of municipal decision-making processes.
To succeed in the role, you need to be able to handle several parallel assignments, sometimes at a high pace, and you enjoy switching between quick interventions and long-term tasks. You are outward-looking and have the ability to pick up on trends and changes that affect operations.
You are communicative and have the ability to create trusting relationships and see the value of good collaboration.
Your contribution is important for the work of translating democratic decisions into practical measures and solutions for the benefit of the municipality's residents.
Employment type: Permanent position.
