As a Payroll Specialist at Skurup Municipality, you will belong to the HR unit, which consists of nine employees. Four of us work within the payroll area, and now that one of us is leaving, we are looking for a new colleague to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Payroll Specialist in Skurup Municipality, you will be part of the HR unit and work together with your colleagues to provide the best possible support and service to our managers, employees, and elected officials. You play a key role in ensuring that the administration of the municipality's and the municipal companies' approximately 1,500 salaries is carried out with high quality and efficiency. Your tasks will include, among other things, administering the payroll process, ensuring that laws, agreements, and guidelines are applied and followed, providing advisory support to managers, HR, and employees on payroll-related issues, developing and improving administrative routines, and handling reconciliations, follow-ups, and analyses, etc. Tasks are not limited to the above and may vary depending on needs and development within the organization.

Payroll work at Skurup Municipality is carried out both independently and together with colleagues, which is why you need to be good at planning, structuring, and driving your work forward while also being a star at collaborating to achieve our common goals. The work is partly event-driven, so your ability to quickly shift focus and adapt to changed conditions is important, as is your ability to maintain a positive attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS

We would like you to have experience in payroll work or personnel administration. Your education should be in payroll and/or administration at a post-secondary level, or what the employer assesses as equivalent merits for the assignment. Previous experience working in HR-related systems, preferably Personec P, is also meritorious.

You should have good knowledge of the Office package and speak and write good Swedish.

We are looking for an engaged and responsible person with the ability to plan and prioritize their work based on deadlines. You are used to working result-oriented and structured, even at times with a high pace. Being careful, stress-resistant, flexible, and passionate about providing the best possible treatment is seen as a given.

You are a team player and as a person, you have the ability to see the big picture and want to contribute to further developing working methods and creating efficient processes. You have a non-hierarchical and helpful attitude. An advantage is if you find it easy to learn different systems and have experience interpreting laws, agreements, and regulations, preferably from a municipality or region. We look forward to a development-oriented collaboration.
